GROW FAITH: FOLLOW JESUS AND HELP OTHERS FOLLOW.
Those who have wrestled with doubt and belonging, have had exciting stories and breakthroughs in their faith and life. Now they are asking big things of God and experiencing His grace and love in their lives
YOUNG ADULTS
The Young Adults Growth Group on Monday nights explores the bible and builds community together.
Our children, youth and young adults commonly ask difficult and honest questions of God – hungry for authenticity in their faith and their relationships. As big people, it is good and healthy for us to learn from this posture and to adopt these themes of curiosity, vulnerability and audacity into our own spiritual lives as well.
YOUTH
Friday Night Youth, builds community each week. Every second week young people engage the bible for faith and life.
Kids Church
Kids Church meets each Sunday to help children grow in following Jesus.
PROMISE TO PRAY
“Promise to Pray” is a program where one adult prays regularly for one young person for one year.
6 WEEK SEMINARY
A 6 week taster into the bible, history and theology to deepen faith.
CREATE CONNECTIONS: CONNECT PEOPLE TO HELP PEOPLE.
there has been an improvement in confidence and happiness within herself. She was very comfortable with the ladies who took the session right from the first night – telling me how “lovely and nice” the people there were”.
PLAYGROUP
Playgroup runs Tuesday and Wednesday Mornings. Playgroup connects community families to our church and provides a safe and supportive space to belong.
Parents commented on how the teams shared the ball, making sure everyone had a chance to play and score. They had never seen this happen in other teams. The sense of community was particularly apparent at our Club end of season celebration
BASKETBALL
Unley Park Basketball club competes in SA Church baskeball competition from April until September.
I AM WOMAN
I am Woman is a ten-week personal development program for women aged 18+, with a cognitive disability. Sponsored by Unley Council Community Grant.
SALA
In August we run a SALA art exhibition to connect with our local community and give people connected to our church creative expression.
CONNECTION EVENTS
CHRISTMAS STREET PARTY
Every December we run a wonderful street party and Christmas concert on our beautiful leafy street.
BUILD BELONGING: BELONG AND HELP OTHERS BELONG.
one lovely person from Unley Park dropped us off some lovely flowers and a card, it was such a beautiful gesture.
PASTORAL CARE
Pastoral Care ministry helps people know they matter and belong.
GROWTH GROUPS
Growth Groups (GG) provide opportunity for people to care for others and be cared for themselves in a deeper way than in the wider church family.
HELP OTHERS: SERVE AND HELP OTHERS SERVE.
as things return to ‘normal’, online streaming has become the ‘shop front’ window—one way people check out our church, before attending.
Tech team
This team manage the technology we use for Sunday services and mid-week ministry.
Throughout our church community. youth and young adults are key contributors to nearly all ministry domains. This includes Sunday worship, Tech Team (AV), Kids Church, youth group, Hindley St Green Team, playgroup, Kids Quest, welcoming, and coffee cart. Our church’s kids enthusiastically respond to opportunities to also serve and lead the church during our family and Christmas services!
