Who in your life might be open to exploring faith if only someone invited them?
Our church is about to ‘set the table’ for our next Alpha course, starting at the end of April. We would love to need a ‘bigger table’! All it takes is a simple invitation: “Would you like to come to Alpha with me?”.
What is Alpha? Alpha creates a safe and inviting space for people with questions about life and meaning. It is a simple way to help people ask questions and explore faith without pressure or expectation. Who is Alpha for? The Alpha course is designed for anyone curious about the Christian faith, from sceptics, newcomers to church and new Christians, to those wanting to brush up on the basics of Christianity.
Our UPBC Alpha course will run for seven weeks on Tuesday nights in term 2. There will also be a Mandarin language option. Our Launch Night is on Tuesday 28 April from 6.30pm. We’ll share a delicious meal, watch an engaging video, and have relaxed conversation in small groups. The night is free, and you can register you and your invited guests at upbc.org.au/explore/
Who could you invite? Pray for the Spirit to prompt you with a name (or several names!). Pray for courage, opportunity, and open hearts. A personal message is often the most meaningful way to invite someone.
