Over recent months, our church office has been in a season of change. We farewelled Bron and give thanks for her faithful service among us. At the same time, we are delighted to welcome new people into our staff team and to clarify how we work together.
Rita Chow has joined us to provide vital administrative support. Her focus is on our financial, people, and compliance systems, while the Deacons continue shaping what a longer-term admin role will look like. We also welcome Neil Ryan as Ministry Associate. Neil will help provide pastoral care across our community, connect with people at Unley Park, and support our Flinders Street partners—especially while I am on leave.
Alongside these additions, we’ve sharpened the focus of existing roles. Sarah Ames continues as Community and Families Pastor. She provides oversight of our pastoral care programs, leads our connection with families, and supervises our kids’ ministries staff. Sarah will act as Lead Pastor while I’m on leave—so please be kind to her 😊. Miranda Dixon serves as Formation Pastor, focusing on Growth Groups, Ministry Apprenticeships and new discipleship pathways. Chris Bowman leads our wonderful youth team. Ashleigh Pirie leads and manages our Sunday Kids Team and provides Chris admin support. Emily Hoet runs our Kids’ community programs like Kids Quest, Kids COACH and supporting our Iranian and Aboriginal Berean partners. Alice Young is our Office Manager. She looks after our church communications (like the Link and socials), and has additional time to manage our bookings, facility hires, and manse rental.
As our staff settles into being a new team, with new roles and new rhythms, we value your prayers. These people are a true gift from God—serving generously and loving our church deeply. We give thanks for each one of them.
In Him,
Jason
