We all want church to feel like a place where people matter and belong. Yet for many, it can still feel hard to connect. Real community rarely happens by accident. It grows when we make space, open our hearts, and include others.
That’s why we’re inviting everyone to take on Out to Lunch Sunday on 2 August. It’s simple and intentional. After church, gather a few people, invite others in, and share a meal together. It could be at home, a café, or a picnic. What matters is that people connect.
We’re asking everyone to make this a priority. Don’t just catch up with the same people. Look for those who are new to you, or who might appreciate a stronger connection. A simple invitation can go a long way in helping someone feel seen and included.
If UPBC is your church home, this is part of how we care for one another. We don’t wait for others to do the work. We step forward. We welcome. We invite. This is how belonging grows.
Why not start planning now? Talk with your growth group, your family, or a few friends. Think about who you could include. Then make the invitation.
Let’s be a church where more people connect with more people.
In Him,
Jason
