here are 3 things prayer hosts can do

Attendance

A practical help is for the prayer host to track who attends our online service. Generally, you are not busy at the start of the service so you should have time to check people off as they ‘arrive’.

Pray

Offer prayer to guests in the chat area. You can pray with people right in the chat area, or encourage them to click the Live Prayer button if they’d rather talk and pray with you privately. It’s amazing to see how loved people feel when someone reaches out to pray with them!

Example: Hi @martha75, I’m so sorry to hear that you lost your grandfather this week. Could we pray together here for you and your family? Let’s pray: God, we lift up Martha and pray that you would be with her and her entire family today. We ask that you would bring them your perfect peace and comfort, and that you would surround them with people who can encourage them in this season. Thank you for loving us and being with us in every difficult moment. In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.

Moments

Online church provides opportunities to put up moments such as a response for salvation. If people respond, encourage them to chat with you so you can pray with them and we can follow them up. A simple prayer for someone who wants to follow Jesus could be like this (feel free to pray your own variation of this)

Thankyou Sorry Please Prayer
Thank you, Lord Jesus, you died on the cross for me, so I could be forgiven and set free. Thank you for offering me forgiveness and the gift of your Holy Spirit.
“Lord Jesus I am sorry for the things I have done wrong in my life (take a few moments to ask his forgiveness for anything particular that is on your conscience). Please forgive me. I now turn from living life my own way. I want to live your way now.
Please come into my life by your Holy Spirit to be with me forever. Thank you, Lord Jesus, Amen.”
