Bring a friend

Alice YoungFrontPage, News, Pastor

As we close out the year could I suggest an idea? How about bringing a friend to church? At this time of year, it is not unusual for people to connect to events like our Christmas Concert on Sunday night. It is also not unusual for people to attend Christmas Eve or Day Services. They may simply need to be asked. Our hope is you feel you can.

We have focussed this year’s promotion of events to our congregation for a few reasons. In terms of attending in-person, the first is practical, we have reduced seating, we would love for you to be able to attend. The second is social and relational, we want to leave space for you to bring family and friends.

Streaming our events and services opens different opportunities too. It means new people can attend without the social hurdle of entering an unfamiliar environment. For our Kids Church Concert, I know new families were able to attend online. I heard this week of a couple who are inviting people to their house so they can watch the Christmas concert together. What a great idea! People have also shared the YouTube link to a service or event.

You can bring a friend to church in several ways. In-person, live-streamed, YouTube link. They probably need to be asked. Our hope is you feel you can.

Enjoy,
