“I will give thanks to you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all
your wonderful deeds.” Psalm 9:1
Thankfulness strengthens our faith. Recalling the good God gives, builds our trust in God so we can face uncertainties and challenges. Our greatest good is found in God’s gracious gift of life made possible through Jesus. His life, death, resurrection all speak to the power of God’s love for us. Whatever circumstance we find ourselves in, remembering the work of Christ is core to our thanksgiving, and faith. Here is enough grace and blessing to enjoy for eternity.
Incredibly, God gives even more. God sustains all creation and fills it with blessing and beauty to be enjoyed. God surrounds us with love through the people who cherish us. God provides our daily bread and strengthens our hands to contribute. For the believer, we live within a personal, loving relationship with God. We know the daily purifying work of the Scriptures and the Holy Spirit’s presence. We have the confidence, through Jesus, our prayers are heard and being answered. We can join God in his purposes, as willing, active servants. We know the care, encouragement and growth that comes from being part of God’s family of faith.
Incredibly, God gives even more. This brief article has a limited word count. Our thanksgiving cannot. How good it is for my soul to give thanks! People who recount every day thanksgiving must live with more joy, and faith. Their eyes are lifted, they see God’s wonderful deeds, they are ready to see God give even more! Join us this Thanksgiving Sunday as we give thanks to our Lord with all our hearts for the wonderful deeds he has done.
In Him,
Jason
