Welcome to Alpha! This is the opening welcome at the first session of Alpha. Alpha is course where people can explore life, faith in Jesus and meaning. Our church has been running this course over the past 7 weeks. We eat together, watch a video, and then discuss our questions in groups. This weekend, our guests from Alpha have been invited to our Sunday service as part of our Alpha retreat.

Alpha is a rich resource. We have been running both English and Chinese groups. Everyone participating has been impressed with the content and quality of the sessions. Alpha offers a wonderful experience. As we eat together and engage the deeper matters in life, we have grown in relationship. Alpha is an incredible opportunity. In this Alpha course there is a strong sense people are seeking for more meaning, hope, purpose. In my view they are seeking the abundant life Jesus offers. All too often the busyness and demands of life distract us for finding what we are deeply seeking. How amazing people have committed time, over a few weeks, to consider the life Jesus offers.

We are grateful for the team who have helped Alpha happen each week. We are grateful for our guests who have grown to become our friends. We are grateful God is at work in people’s lives so they can discover the life that is truly life.
