What Happens When We Give It a Go?

Alice YoungFrontPage, News, Pastor

On Sunday 18 October we will gather as a church family for our annual Thanksgiving Sunday. It is one of the highlights of our year. Together we will celebrate what God has done through our church over the past 12 months and give thanks for his faithfulness.

This year we have helped one another to “Give it a Go”. It has been encouraging to see people step forward, try something new, support others, share their faith, and use their gifts in fresh ways. It is true, when people give it a go, good things happen. Lives are strengthened, community grows, and opportunities open for others to encounter Jesus.

Thanksgiving Sunday is our chance to celebrate these stories and recognise that God is at work among us. It is not just about looking back. This strengthens our faith as we look ahead with expectation.

As part of the day, we will receive our annual Thanksgiving Offering. This is a gift above and beyond regular giving that helps support our outreach and mission initiatives, both locally and globally. It enables us to invest in opportunities that help more people experience faith, connection and belonging.

Please make every effort to join us on the day. Stay after the service for lunch and enjoy time together as a church community. Bring your gratitude, your stories, and your encouragement for one another. Let’s celebrate what God has done when his people have been willing to give it a go.

In Him,
Jason
